Artist Statement
Photography is my way of understanding the world around me, which I describe with little ceremony or celebration. This is how I see: head-on, straightforward. I am drawn to fragments and glimpses in the everyday, intimate scenes with humans at the center. Stillness, smallness and subtlety are my vocabulary. As I look at my surroundings I see the incidental and accidental marks made by time and people as they pass through a space. With my camera I collect the evidence we unknowingly leave behind.
